This faculty learning community is dedicated to increasing student engagement through development of strategies to encourage critical thinking in introductory courses.

We have begun a dialog about critical thinking, its definition and potential for inclusion in content-intensive, often large enrollment, introductory courses.

The group has focused on understanding how learning occurs and on designing strategies to facilitate student learning by increasing student engagement and improving critical thinking skills of students in introductory courses (check our “Strategies to Try”)
